At first, being a sea loving kid, I started doing canoeing at a very young age because sailing was not yet introduced on the island where I come from on Praslin. In 2002, when it was introduced, I joined the classes doing mostly local competition and from then on have remained passionate about the sport and have been enjoying every moment ever Since. In 2011 I had the opportunity to sail from Mahe to Singapore to deliver a catamaran. Today, as a profession, I work as a freelance skipper, the first female skipper in the Seychelles, on board the catamaran. Doing charters around the Seychelles Islands and enjoying sailing with my guests whenever the opportunity is presented. Outside of my work, I enjoy going to the beach, travelling, appreciating and enjoying nature. Sailing now has become part of me. Looking ahead, I hope to continue sharing the experience of our beautiful islands with our international guest that come to visit the Seychelles and make them appreciate the Seychelles sailing experience. Also, to continue to encourage more women to take up sailing because there are a lot of opportunities, prospects, and enjoyment in the sport.Best Results
